Did anyone else notice that Jack Bauer un-ducked and un-covered when the nuke went off?

You know how bad sunburn can feel. The atomic bomb flash can burn you worse than a terrible sunburn, especially where you're not covered. And then there's this gem:
This family knows what to do [...] They know that even a thin cloth helps protect them. Even a newspaper can save you from a bad burn.Jack didn't need to duck and cover because, well, he's Jack. But remember, you should always duck and cover if the atomic bomb goes off, or glass could fly through the air and cut you.

Finally! A use for The Boston Globe!
Jack when nuke went off:
"Oh my God. I'm back. I'm home. All the time, it was... We finally really did it.
[screaming] You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

I think the nuclear blast ducked when it saw Jack Bauer.
Well the Rev Pat Robertson said a few weeks ago God told him there would be many terrorist attacks within the US in 2007 and one would be nuclear. I guess he just did not want to confess he really hacked into Fox and viewed 24's seasons premier.
And make sure you shut your windows, pull down your shades and hide under a desk with your head covered. Better yet, start digging your bomb shelter in your backyard. It can double as a storm cellar for all the "global warming" storms coming our way.
Kids, if a nuke goes off nowadays, it will be more powerful and more deadly than anything concocted when that Civil Defense film was made. In short, all you're doing is getting on your knees, grab your ankles, and kiss your ass goodbye. Nukes, they suck. Bio or chemical weapons just as bad in terms of lives taken, but minus the destruction of property. Eesh.
Uhm, we watched those videos and did duck and cover drills in grade school. And we had a fallout shelter.
Ah, those were the days ...
I remember doing a duck and cover drill in first grade... the same year that the USSR fell.
Yes, I'm young like that.
We did the same drills for Tornados...we called them the "put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye" drill
"Attaboy Tony...that flash means 'act fast!'" LOL
